Original Tasting Notes from Cognac Francois Voyer:
This special cognac encapsulates the quintessential flavors of the Grand Champagne. It is a symphony, a musical score of refined notes: the major ones are coffee, chocolate, wax, leather, cloves and cinnamon, while the minor chords are flowers and dried fruits, truffles, wood berries, pepper and vanilla. This is a forceful cognac who’s complexity lies in the mists of your imagination, so that even after many minutes on the palate, new flavors are still being exposed and unearthed. The ‘Hors d’age’ has been selected by Alain Ducasse (holder of 19 Michelin Stars!) for ‘Le Jules Verne‘ restaurant on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower.
Origin : 100 % Grande Champagne, 1st Cru of Cognac.
Composition : Blended eaux-de-vie 40 to 60 years old
How to enjoy: You must not hurry a cognac who`s age is measured in half centuries! Pour it and let it stand for a quarter of an hour before you taste it. Sip it slowly and let the bouquet and flavors unfold and develop on your palate. Taste the passing of the years in the warm cocoon of the ancient oak barrel, and the darkness of the cellar !
